About us

The IP law firm of Hermann Leinweber was founded in 1930 in Berlin, the former seat of the German central government agency for intellectual property rights. After the relocation of this government agency to Munich, our firm moved its offices in 1959 to our present-day location in the city center of Munich.

In Munich, the firm acquired its present name and grew to its present size when Mr. Leinweber was joined in 1962 by Heinz Zimmermann and subsequently by further partners. We have accumulated experience over decades in nearly all technical fields with the exception of organic chemistry. This enables us to offer our clients competent advice and representation in proceedings before governmental authorities and tribunals.
