After graduating from Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich (LMU) with a diploma in physics (Dipl. Phys.), Dr. Jürgen Kraus earned a doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) from LMU in the field of high-energy physics. Subsequently, he was employed for several years at LMU as a research assistant and lecturer.

Dr. Jürgen Kraus began his career in the field of intellectual property in 1978. After a training phase at the firm of Leinweber & Zimmermann and at the firm of Schneider & Eitle in Nuremburg, as well as at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the German Federal Patent Court, Dr. Jürgen Kraus gained his admission to practice as German and European Patent, Trademark and Design Attorney in 1981.

During his academic training in electrical engineering at the Rhine-Westphalia Institute of Technology (RWTH Aachen University) which he completed with a diploma in engineering (Dipl. Ing.), Thomas Busch worked for three years at the Foundry Institute of the university. During this time he participated in the development of vacuum casting processes. In his diploma thesis he investigated the subject of computer modelling of battery discharge behaviors.

Mr. Busch began his career in in the field of intellectual property in 1986. After a training phase at the firm of Boehmert & Boehmert in Bremen and Munich, as well as at the German Patent and Trademark Office, the German Federal Patent Court and the Landgericht (regional court) in Munich, Mr. Busch gained his admission to practice as German and European Patent, Trademark and Design Attorney in 1989 and 1991, respectively.

Dr. Patrick Werner studied physics at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich (LMU), Université de Provence in Marseille and Università La Sapienza in Rome, obtaining the degrees of Dipl. Phys. and Maîtrise in physics. He earned his doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) from LMU in the field of quantum mechanics of nanomechanical systems.

After a training phase at the firm of Leinweber & Zimmermann, as well as at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the German Federal Patent Court, Dr. Patrick Werner gained his admission to practice as German and European Patent, Trademark and Design Attorney in 2007 and 2008, respectively.

Dr. Christina Kraus graduated from Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich (LMU) with a diploma in physics (Dipl. Phys). She earned her doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) at Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics in Garching in the field of quantum information. Subsequently, she pursued postdoctoral studies at Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics and worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information of the University of Innsbruck.

Dr. Christina Kraus began her career in the field of intellectual property in 2014. After a training phase at the firm of Leinweber & Zimmermann, as well as at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the German Federal Patent Court, Dr. Christina Kraus gained her admission to practice as German and European Patent, Trademark and Design Attorney in 2018.

The working languages of Dr. Christina Kraus are German, English and French. In addition, she has acquired a good command of the Japanese language in an eight-month study program at Aichi Center for Japanese Studies in Okazaki, Japan.
